Teen Camp Day 4 - Ninja Day

Hi everyone,

Wednesday was Ninja Day here at camp. Our camp wide game was soccer which introduced the day's Social Skill lesson of personal hygiene. Our personal hygiene lesson gave campers an opportunity to ask any questions that they might have on the topic.

For our morning activity, campers learned how to write in Kanji and made ninja headbands. By lunch, it was already very hot so we went on a hike around the lake stopping in the forest to play a game of camouflage. We ended our hike with a swim as everyone was ready for a cool down. Campers were able to take out canoes and paddle boards. After swimming, campers had to use their ninja skills to complete an obstacle course and partake in a variety of other ninja activities.

Everyone was feeling a little tired from the day in the sun and so campers had some free time. Free time brought us straight into yet another fabulous dinner. Our evening game was Capture the Sensei and the night ended with a campfire.

There are many more exciting activities to come. I can't believe that we are nearing the end of camp, but this week has been a blast.

Until next time,
Dori
