Overnight 1: Day 2

Good Evening From Camp!

What an action packed day at camp! Our day started off with almost half of camp doing our Polar Bear Dip. Our campers can choose to jump in our lake, at 7:30 in the morning, to start their day at camp. If a camper goes to Polar Bear Dip every day, they get their Polar Bear Dip Award - which is a special piece of bling that campers can earn for their braid.

For breakfast we had great selection of fruit, yogurt, waffles, and sausages. Our campers fuels up for a fantastic day of activities, which started with goal setting and planning our day. Our campers get to track their goals on a big goal board in the dining hall, so everyone can share the goals they are working on, and the goals they have completed.

We spent our morning doing some team work activities in social skills, and learning about how we can work well together. We finished up our morning with lunch - which was home made pizza. After our pizza lunch, one of the campers said to me 'This is the best food EVER!'.

Our afternoon started with canoeing and hiking, and then our campers tried our some Choice Activities.

Choice is a great time at camp, because campers can choose what activities they would like to try. Today campers could try making some string art, while hanging in our hammocks, OR they could go for a swim in the lake and make bracelets, OR they could play a wild game of soccer with all different sizes and types of balls.

At dinner, we had some amazing BBQ burgers with all the fixings, and ice cream sundae's for dessert.

To help burn off a few of those extra sprinkles, we played capture the flag! One team was so creative, they made some fake flags to try and confuse the other team! It was a great night of running, laughing and playing with our new friends.

We hope that you had an amazing day as well, where ever that may have been!

All the best from camp,

Kathleen/Quack Quack
