Overnight Camp 2: Day 3

Hello from camp!

Well, yesterday was a rainy day, but it didn't dampen the spirits of our campers!

Our campers spent the morning learning about how to have conversations - one of my favourite activities! Our counsellors play all different games to help teach this skill, however, the one I like the best, is when you get a piece of tape put on your forehead and you have to talk to people to find out what you are. For the record I was a dish cloth, my partner was giggling at me a lot!

In the afternoon, we spent time with our lovely Goldeye staff going rock climbing, and doing archery. Some of our campers are really amazing archers and climbers! It is always amazing seeing campers learn and master these activities.

Our choice programs were varied - from ukulele, to floating our boat creations, and playing some great soccer games, there was something for everyone at camp.

In the evening program we had our camp dance - definitely the favourite program for our campers and our staff.

Our campers definitely had a great time as EVERY camper was at the dance! We always set up quieter, and more relaxed activities for campers on the side of our large programs, however, every camper wanted to dance!

Well that's all the new from us.

All the best from camp,

Kathleen Gurski/Quack Quack
