Hello!
Today has been an excellent day! We were very thankful that the weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy our water games! This morning we played a big game of elves gold before starting social skills, our focus today was de-escalating conflict and blowing off steam. Campers got to choose from a variety of activities designed to help them blow off steam. The choices were painting with balloons, soccer, dancing, learning to play instruments and making a stress ball, we let them pick the activity that they felt suited them the best! We stopped to have lunch in side to cool off a little before heading back outside for our long awaited water games! We had an exciting line up of fun for our campers, there was a slip n' slide, a water fight, a water balloon toss (with the balloons covered in shaving cream for fun), games of drip drip drop and a sponge relay! Some campers who preferred not to get wet were able to do some arts and crafts and other dry activities as well. The afternoon ended with a camp wide water game that everyone really enjoyed. We have had a great first week at camp, it has been so rewarding to watch campers get more comfortable and come out of their shells and make friends. We are very much looking forward to next week, have a great weekend!
See you Monday,
- Dori
