Good evening from camp! Sorry for this late evening blog post, but we had such a full day of programming that it was hard to find a minute to write about it all.
Our day started with canoeing and and social skills, and I had a great time teaching our teens how to paddle their canoes. I was so impressed with the calm communication while paddling in the wind - no easy task!
At lunch, our campers can give our "steps in the right direction" award to other teens for things they have done that were great. There were so many steps given out to paddling partners for their patience and communication. It is great to see our teens support each other and have them recognize each other's support and growth.
This afternoon our campers spent time on the high ropes course, as well as doing some team building and fire building - with s'mores.
It was a great afternoon of working together, and finding our strengths and talents, trying new things and finding new success.
I really think all of our teens deserve many steps in the right direction today!
All the best from camp,
Kathleen "Quack Quack" Gurski
