What a fantastic time we have been having at Day Camp 3. Our apologies for the lateness of the blog, but for some reason the pictures wouldn't load!
None the less, we have gotten some working!
On our first day of camp we learned all about Zones of Regulation, and did some great activities to work on recognizing our own emotions, and the emotions of others. In the afternoon we had a big race around the building - call the Amicus Race. Our campers did a fantastic job of working together, and solving puzzles.
We also played a big game of Man Hunt through the school. Our campers had a great time hiding and chasing each other through the building.
On Tuesday we spent our morning learning about social skills, and working on some together. It is always great to see our campers supporting each other while they learn together.
Our afternoon was spent swimming and going down the slides at the Southland Leisure Centre, and having a whole lot of fun in the pools!
All the best,
Kathleen "Quack Quack" Gurski
