Good afternoon from camp,
We started our day with a Zones of Regulation check in before heading to the field for today’s camp-wide game. Today we had a big round of Humantracker, in which three campers had to run around camp and tag other campers. Once those campers were tagged, they also became trackers until everyone was caught or the trackers ran out of time. Afterwards, we had a snack and made our daily goals before heading to today’s Social Skill, which was Problem Solving.
The three clubs, Sports club, Art club, and Music club continued today with a variety of activities and crafts. Campers made sculptures, practiced instruments, and played handball and dodgeball for a little while, had some free time, and then enjoyed lunch.
After lunch, we had our Choice programs. Today the Choices were water games, an obstacle course called Escape the Zoo, and coding. Coding was inside and was a nice way to wind down, while the water activities and obstacle course gave campers the opportunity to play water games and stay cool outside if they wanted a high energy option. Once Choice was done, we did our Steps in the Right Direction, followed by the afternoon Zones check in.
Calaway Park is the big event of the day tomorrow. We’ll be heading there around 9:30am and are spending the day there. We’ll have a shady space to hang out in if the day gets too hot, as well as a variety of water-based rides to keep us cool and comfortable. It’s going to be a fantastic day!
Stay tuned,
Pippin
