It was a tad smoky today but we were still able to go full steam ahead and take the campers to Calaway Park. We started off with our morning Zones check in and a camp wide game. A few campers, due to the smoke, spent the day with Beans and Comet at the Science Cente, and I hear they had a very fun time and an excellent day in their small group. The rest of us boarded the bus and headed out on the highway.
Meanwhile, at Calaway, it was a lovely day to be enjoying the amusement park and the campers had a blast going from one ride to the next. It was crazy to see kids brave the spinning, upsidedown, and fast moving rides and very nice to join them on the slower, more leisurely rides. All in all, it was a fantastic day and I saw lots of happy and smiling faces.
Tomorrow is the last day of camp. We have a camp wide game, a Social Skill that explores Compliments, Clubs, Kangaroo Kourt, and the Awards Ceremony. At said ceremony, campers will be able to watch this session’s slideshow and look back on the last two weeks of fun and adventure.
