We
celebrated Canada Day with decorations, singing of O Canada, Canadian Trivia and
some red and white treats. This morning we played bucket ball, a fun
game that requires lots of teamwork, which is what we are focusing on in
Social Skills today. In the lesson today, campers shared what strengths
they have to bring to a team. They created a beautiful web representing
what a team looks like.
Defense of the Dark Arts took place this
morning. During this class, Campers were taught spells they can use to
defend themselves. They also came up with their Patronus. The Patronus
Charm is the most famous and one of the most powerful defensive charms
known to wizard-kind. This brought us to lunch time where we enjoyed
sloppy joes.
The sun came out just as we were headed to do activities
with Goldeye Staff. Today, Campers got to try team high ropes and wall
climbing. We then made the decision to hit the lake since it was such a
beautiful afternoon. Following some fun canoeing and swimming, we had
some free choice time. Many campers decided to have some quiet time and a
few others played games in the field house.
Once again dinner was
fabulous and after dinner we played a game of capture the flag. This is always a
favourite at camp and this time was no exception. We had what will be
our last campfire of camp. Songs were sung, house points awarded and the
spirit animal was given a new home. We can't believe tomorrow is our last full day of camp. Time sure does fly when you are having fun!
All the best,
Dori
