Hello Family and Friends!
Campers got off to a good start today with another wonderful breakfast. At breakfast Head Master Dori made another appearance to go over wand etiquette seeing as we all have wands that we made yesterday.
Following breakfast we played a fun game of Gold Rush. In this game, Campers must go around and try to find as much gold as they can. However, the only catch is that counsellors are disguised as bandits and are trying to stop them from taking the gold. This game introduces Problem Solving which was our Social Skill of the day. In our lesson today, Campers had to work together while figuring out the solution to some tricky problems. They also learned about FASTER another useful Social Skill acronym.
For the morning activity, we played dodgeball games in the field house. Lunch was a big hit today with chicken fingers and fries. Once finished lunch, we met up with some Goldeye Staff to do our first rotation of activities. Today campers got to try the low ropes course and archery. Tomorrow we are scheduled for more exciting activities.
This brought us to our afternoon snack and following snack was some free choice time. We then adventured on a hike around the Goldeye property. We stopped along the way to play a game of Camouflage.
Before dinner, campers participated in a Tri Wizard Tournament. Activities in this tournament included capturing an egg from the magical tree, battling a counsellor in a board/card game and completing an obstacle course.
Dinner time arrived and more House Points were given away to the different House Teams. Following this, we played Manhunt and ended our night once again with an energetic campfire. It was all in all an other great day!
We look forward to the adventures tomorrow brings.
Take Care,
