Day Camp 1

Hello Everyone,

Our first day camp of 2015 came to an end last week. We started out the week with some fun games at Foothills and mini golf championships. We attempted an afternoon of water fun until we had our party crashed by a surprise tornado! We survived the storm while playing ninja style Manhunt in the school. We had an awesome day of new challenges at Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch on the low ropes course, horseback, wagon rides and many other adventure pursuits! We wrapped up the first week with a successful afternoon of water fun, without any storms! During our second week of camp, we milked goats and visited the farm animals and Butterfield Acres, worked our flippers in the wave pool and waterslides at Southland Leisure Centre, and kept our lunches in our stomaches at Calaway Park! Friday afternoon, we celebrated all our accomplishments with an awesome afternoon of fun activities including a jello slurping contest, a counsellor dunk, and costume relay. In the company of some special guests (parents, families and friends), we had our awards ceremony which gave us an opportunity to recognize our campers for the great things they do! Thank you to everyone who helped make Day Camp 1 a huge success and a great experience for our campers.
