A Day a the Circus!

Even though it wasn't our official theme, today was definitely a day at the circus! From horses, to slime, to a circus tent campfire, it felt like a fun and exciting day at the circus.

The best part of today was that it was sunny for most of the day! We started our day with horseback riding, hikes, swimming, and making slime for a very special purpose - more on that later.

Our campers went to explore the property by horseback, and have a great experience with our good friends from Chungo Creek. It was great to see the instant connection that our campers can have with the horses, and how some of them look so natural and comfortable in the saddle.

We made slime as well today, and playdough in our science area today. The slime got used in our Kangaroo court, where counsellors are tried for their 'crimes against camp'. Our dear counsellor Thumper had so many allegations against her - thumping on the cabins, having a solo food fight in the dining hall, and peeing in the lake. Our slime was used well as it was dumped on Thumper as her punishment.

Our day ended with an outdoor campfire, and we used a parachute to help keep us dry! It made all of the campers glow different colours underneath and made us all feel like campfire was a little extra special.
At campfire our campers got their camper awards, polar bear dip awards, and other bling for their accomplishments this week at camp.

It has been an amazing time at camp this week, and I am excited for campers to get to share all of their stories with you when they get home tomorrow.

All the best from camp,

Kathleen "Quack Quack" Gurski
