Art, and games, and boating, OH MY!

What a great day we have had at camp! To say the least, we are packing in as much fun activities and excitement as we can.

In social skills our campers had a chance to learn and practice their conversation skills through two games called 'Bus Stop' and 'Story Tellers'.

Our campers also have the opportunity to practice lessening their impact on the environment while camping, hiking or enjoying their time in the outdoors through the Leave No Trace program. We even saw some great skits about the positive and negative effects on the environment - one skit had a camper playing the role of a bear quite well! Our campers 'now' know not to adopt every animal from the forest back to their homes as pets. You're welcome parents :)

We then got a chance to practice these new skills during some hikes on the property. Campers got a choice of a relaxed hike or an adventure hike. Both groups had a great time exploring the outdoors.

Our afternoon was then completed with Choice (improv games, boating, mural painting, or team work games), some warm fuzzies (where campers can write heart felt notes for their new friends to take home), and free time (showers, quiet time in the cabin, field games, or prepping for the talent show).

As I sit here writing this blog, I hear a group of campers practicing for the Talent show. It is a lovely way to sign off.

Enjoy your evenings, I know that we will enjoy our evening of a camp wide game of predator and prey, and s'mores around the campfire.
