Day Camp 1 - Wednesday

Hello!

We had a lovely day out in the sun today at Amicus. Once campers had arrived, we split up into our counsellor groups and did a Zones check in. Afterwards, we headed to the field for today’s camp wide game, Pac-man. After plenty of running and tagging each other, we had a snack and made our daily goals for the day.

For today’s Social Skill we talked about Teamwork and how to work together to solve problems and overcome obstacles. Once that was concluded, campers split into their clubs which was a continuation of yesterday’s sports club, art club, and music club. We then had a bit of free time before having lunch.

We had a new batch of Choice programs to choose from this afternoon. Today campers were able to choose two of three of gardening, screen printing, and legitness course (an obstacle course of sorts). We’re lucky enough to be a part of a beautiful community garden just down the street and several campers got to pull up fresh carrots, tomatoes, and raspberries and eat them right then and there. We also found several beautiful potatoes and made ourselves some mini planters to take home. After two slots of Choice programming, we did Steps in the Right Direction and an afternoon Zones check in before campers headed home.

Get excited for another great day tomorrow! After Social Skills, Zones, and our daily goal making, we’re heading to Cobbs for an afternoon of activity. I think it’s going to be a wonderful day of sunshine and crazy happenings.

Hear all about it tomorrow,

Pippin
