Good afternoon,
Campers enjoyed a fun-filled and sunny Tuesday today. Once everyone had checked in, we did our morning Zones check in before gathering together for a camp wide game. Today we played a game similar to capture the flag before having a snack and making our daily goals. For today’s Social Skill, we did Blowing Off Steam. From relaxing breathing to mind maps and running around, campers gathered some excellent skills for how to release stress in a healthy way. Afterwards, we had clubs—which included sports club, music club, and art club—before enjoying some free time and lunch.
After lunch, we made our way to the Flying Squirrel. This excellent trampoline park has plenty to keep campers entertained, with big foam cube pits to jump into and trampoline dodgeball. It was a super fun way to release some energy and have the chance to run, bounce, and climb. Once we had bounced our last bounce, we headed back to Foothills to do our Steps in the Right Direction. As well, two campers had birthdays today and were able to “pie” a counsellor of their choice in the face. Comet and Domino ended up with shaving cream “pie” all over them. Campers then did their afternoon Zones check in before heading home.
There’s no end to the fun this week! Tomorrow we have our usual Zones, Social Skill, and a camp wide game, as well as another day of clubs and a new selection of Choice programming.
Until then,
Pippin
