Day Camp 2 - Wednesday

Hey hey!

We sure got lucky this week with our rescheduling. Since the smoke last week was so uncomfortable, we rescheduled our Thursday trip to Cobbs to today—and what a great day it was! After our morning Zones of Regulations check in and doing De-escalating Conflict for our Social Skill, we got on the bus and headed east to the Adventure Park.

Cobbs has a variety of excellent and fun activities to keep campers busy. These include, but are not limited to, archery tag, glow in the dark mini golf, a tractor ride, pedal carts, a giant slide and (my absolute favourite part!) a wallaby petting zoo. It’s so cute seeing the kids feeding and cuddling these little fellas and experiencing such an interesting and adorable little animal. They can even hold them in little fabric bags so the wallabies can curl up on their laps.

After a hot and very fun day, it was time to head back to Foothills. We got the kids back on the bus and went back to the school so we could do Steps in the Right Direction and our afternoon Zones check in.

Tomorrow holds even more adventure! We’re taking the kids to Calaway Park for the day to enjoy the rides and the sunshine.

Excited for that!
