It’s so nice to have some clearer skies and sunshine today. To start off our week, we did our Zones check in and played a camp wide game. After having a snack and making daily goals, our Social Skill of the day was Friendships. We talked about the types of friendships, interactions that campers can have with friends, acquaintances, and family, and how to identify good and bad friends. After that we had clubs, including sports club, art club, and music club, then had some free time and lunch. A few campers took advantage of the better weather and had their lunch outside.
Today’s Choice programming included cooking, fort building, and humantracker. The humantracker game was all around and in the school and campers had a great time with such a wide playing field. For fort building, campers used mats and tarps in the gym to make incredible structures which they furnished with bean bag chairs for maximum comfort. In cooking, campers got to explore options for healthy snacks by making strawberries with small chocolate designs on them as well as delicious kale chips.
Once Choice came to an end, we did our Steps in the Right Direction and afternoon Zones check in. Campers are going to be wanting their swim suits tomorrow as we’ll be heading to Southland Leisure Centre after a camp wide game, Social Skill, and lunch.
Excited for the day,
Pippin
