Friendship Camp Day 2

Hi everyone,

Today was our first full day here at camp. Although we would have loved to see the sun, we were just happy that it was not raining! Towards the end of our day, the sun began to peak out from behind the clouds.

Our day began with a big breakfast with lots of different options for campers to choose from. We then jumped into an action packed morning filled with horseback riding, tie-dying Camp Amicus t-shirts, ultimate frisbee and a Social Skills lesson on having a conversation.

Those activities brought us to lunch. After lunch, we finished up the last of station activities. After that we all played an exciting game of kickball. We had a quick snack break and then did archery and the wall climbing with the Goldeye staff.

The Goldeye staff are fantastic and we all enjoyed the activities. Tonight we are looking forward to a camp wide game of prey and predator, as well as a campfire. And, tonight we will actually be able to be outside for that!

It has been another action packed day and I think campers will once again be ready for bed tonight. Tomorrow brings more adventures and hopefully we will have some lots of sunshine!

Raymond James generously donated money to Camp Amicus this summer. Their donation meant that two children were able to attend the camp who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. Thank you to all the staff at Raymond James Canada Foundation!

All the best,
Dori
