Day Camp 1 - Swimming and Social Skills

What a wonderful day it was at Day Camp today! We spent our morning learning social skills and playing a new version of dodgeball! It was great to see all of our campers learning and having fun together outside.

This afternoon we went swimming at the Southland Leisure Center, and to say that it was a hit would be an understatement. Between the wave pool, slides, water park and dive tank, there was more than enough for everyone to have a great time.

One of my favourite moments of the day - which a few parents got to see - is steps in the right direction, and for the good of the group. At the end of each day, campers and staff get to recognize campers for something they did that was a challenge for themselves, or helped another person (steps in the right direction) or for something they did that positively effected the entire group (for the good of the group). It is fantastic to see our campers really connecting with each other, and finding the magic of camp here in Calgary!

Don't forget to pack a swim suit, towel, and shoes that can get wet for tomorrow, as our choice activities in the afternoon have a wet option.

Also, if you have not done your flying squirrel consent form, please do so.

All the best,
