Overnight Camp 3: Day 2

Good Morning from Camp!

What a great full day at teen camp. Our teen campers have shown their maturity and welcoming nature to each other, and it has been amazing to see.

Our first day started with our Polar Bear Dip, and our teens did not disappoint. They were up, and on the dock, before 7:30 when the dip starts! It was great to see everyone encouraging each other, and challenging themselves.

We spent our morning learning about team work, building some awesome shelters and forts in the forest. It was great to see how creative our campers are, and how much they love to try new things.

In the afternoon we had some time at the waterfront, and went for a hike. This year for camp we bought an inflatable floating unicorn - named Uncle Betty - to say the least, our teens are BIG fans.

Our choice programs were dodgeball, button making/bracelet making and tie dye. Our campers had a great time at all of their choice programs, and have some really cool shirts and bling to show for it.

Our evening wrapped up with a game of capture the flag, and campers playing together. Even in the heat of competition, we see our campers step up their sportsmanship and friendships to help de-escalate situations.

Well back to this beautiful sunny day!

All the best from camp,

Kathleen Gurski/Quack Quack
