A big HELLO from camp!
Things have been in full swing up here at camp. Our teens have been absolutely rocking the week at camp, partaking in all of the activities, trying new things and making new friends.
Our morning started with a game of Dress the Beast, which one of our campers introduced to us. Each team has a beast that they have to get as many pieces of clothes as possible. To get extra pieces of clothes for your beast, your need to steal them from the other teams beast! It was a great game and thanks to our camper Jeramy S for teaching it to us!
We spent time working on healthy relationships, both as friendships and in dating. Our teens did a great job chatting about how to tell if a friend or partner has your back, and how to tell if they don't.
After lunch we spent time with our friends from Goldeye. Our campers got split into two groups - one went to archery and went rock climbing, our other group challenged themselves with our static high ropes course, and zip line.
Our choice programs were pod racing - which was with two canoes pulling a person on a stand up paddle board behind them (pretty hilarious and fun), creating anime and fan fiction, and making pixie fires (which are really small fires, no bigger than your fist).
We spent our evening at our camp dance. Campers and staff had the most amazing time dancing and singing along to song.
Our campers who are not so keen on loud noises and a ton of people, spent their time at the board game cafe.
It was an amazing day at camp, thanks for sharing it with us!
All the best from camp,
Kathleen Gurski/Quack Quack
