Today was another great day to be at camp. After Polar Bear Dip and a wonderful breakfast, campers had a Zones of Regulation check-in and headed to the field for camp wide game. We played a few rounds of Guardians of the Galaxy before having a quick snack and making our daily goals. For today’s Social Skill we did De-escalating Conflict. Once we concluded that, campers had some free time before having lunch.
After a refreshing hour of Toes-Up Time, we headed to Goldeye programming. Campers rotated between orienteering and the low ropes course, giving them another opportunity to hone their teamwork skills and explore the camp. For the latter part of the afternoon, we had another round of Choice programs and campers could join in on Chicken Run, music, or sculpture making. We had a bit more free time and then had a BBQ feast for supper.
Today we had our weekly dance. We cleared the tables and chairs in the hall and campers were able to put on costumes and wigs while they danced and visited the photo booth. Once the last song ended and snack was handed out, campers went back to their cabins to start their bedtime routine.
We have a very big day tomorrow. Besides camp-wide game and the Social Skill of Entering and Exiting Conversations, we have a big afternoon of waterfront activities, horseback riding, hiking, and science & slime. In the evening we have our Closing Ceremony at the campfire.
