Overnight Camp 4 - Sunday

Hello to everyone back home,

We’ve arrived safe and sound at Goldeye. After getting all our campers and staff on the bus, we headed out on the highway, through Red Deer, and on to Goldeye Center. Campers set out on a photo scavenger hunt so as to familiarize themselves with camp before taking their belongings to their cabins and making a Cabin Contract. This agreement encourages campers to put forth rules (such as “be respectful of each other” or “don’t sit on each other’s bunks without asking”) and are rules for harmonious living.

It began to rain before our camp wide game so we adapted it to be indoors. We played a high energy game called Cardio Pictionary which involves running, drawing, and dancing. By the time we had finished the game and dinner, the sun had reappeared and we were able to have Campfire outside. Several campers and staff came forward with wonderful songs, skits, and plays to entertain us. Once that was done with, campers headed to the cabins for bedtime routine.

We have plenty of fantastic activities planned for tomorrow. Campers will enjoy a camp wide game, Social Skills, archery and arts & crafts, Choice programming, and Capture the Flag.

This week is going to be great!
