Greetings!
We had a very fun (and, at times, relaxing) day of camp today. We started with a Zones check in and then played camp-wide game, which was Parachute Hungry Hungry Hippos, then had a snack and made our daily goals. For Social Skills, we did Exiting Conversations. One group even got to be ninjas and do a scavenger hunt around the school, and then perform scenarios on good and bad ways of exiting conversations. Campers then split into clubs, then had some free time. Since the smoke was a bit better today, campers were allowed to spend free time outside. Afterward, we had lunch.
We had Choice programming for the afternoon. Campers chose between spa, board game café, and gym games. The board games were a nice way to relax and socialize, and the spa had a variety of face masks, nail painting stations, and relaxing music. Gym games involved floor hockey, soccer, and much more!
To finish off the day, we did our Steps in the Right Direction and our afternoon Zones check-in. Since the smoke is supposed to clear up this weekend, we’re very excited to do our field trips to Cobbs, Calaway Park, and Southland Leisure Centre next week.
